VET Data Privacy

Course participants who sign the HRD enrolment form agree to the following data privacy conditions:

Under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, HRD Integrated Services Pty Ltd is required to collect personal information about you and to disclose that personal information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).

Your personal information (including the personal information contained on the HRD enrolment form and your training activity data) may be used or disclosed by HRD Integrated Services for statistical, regulatory and research purposes. HRD may disclose your personal information for these purposes to third parties, including:

  • School – if you are a secondary student undertaking VET, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship
  • Employer – if you are enrolled in training paid by your employer
  • Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies
  • NCVER
  • Organisations conducting student surveys
  • Researchers.

Personal information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for the following purposes:

  • Issuing a VET Statement of Attainment or VET Qualification, and populating Authenticated VET Transcripts
  • facilitating statistics and research relating to education, including surveys
  • understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information
  • administering VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.

You may receive an NCVER student survey which may be administered by an NCVER employee, agent or third party contractor. You may opt out of the survey at the time of being contacted.

NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER’s website at www.ncver.edu.au).

HRD Integrated Services is committed to protecting your privacy and to providing a safe online experience. HRD acknowledges the National Privacy Principles described by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

This Web Privacy Statement applies to the HRD Integrated Services website and guides data collection and usage. By using the HRD Integrated Services website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection and use of your personal information

HRD Integrated Services collects and uses your personal information to operate the HRD Integrated Services website and to deliver the services you are seeking.

If collected this information may be used by HRD Integrated Services to provide general statistics regarding use of the HRD Integrated Services website.

HRD Integrated Services does not sell, rent or lease its client lists to third parties. Nor will HRD use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your consent.

HRD Integrated Services will disclose your personal information only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform with the law or comply with legal process served on HRD Integrated Services; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of HRD Integrated Services; or, (c) act to protect the personal safety of users of HRD Integrated Services, or the general public.

The HRD Integrated Services Web site may use ‘cookies’ to help you personalise your online experience.

HRD Integrated Services secures your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. If personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the SSL protocol.
