Rail Signalling, safety systems and First Aid training practitioner

Tony’s career in rail signalling commenced as an apprentice Electrical Fitter/Mechanic with Queensland Rail more than 40 years ago.

Since then, Tony has worked continuously in rail signalling in technical, maintenance, supervisory and training roles in Queensland and Western Australia’s Pilbara region, including remote location operations.

In senior technical roles as a first-line supervisor and senior technician, Tony has been responsible for planning and overseeing system upgrades and renewal projects. He has exposure to signal system testing and commissioning, including system re-commissioning.

In his bag of broader rail-related skills and knowledge, Tony includes experience in rail safety protocol training and implementation. Delivering safe work/rail access, Hi-rail and associated safety training, and developing safety procedures and conducting safety investigations are all part of Tony’s skill set.

Tony is also recognised for his passion for First Aid training.

Tony’s up-to-date knowledge of current systems and practices is maintained through employment in technical and advisory roles in Queensland rail infrastructure.
