HRD Mobile Phone and Smart Device policy
Both HRD and its employer clients have performance and participation expectations of learners undertaking rail signalling training or training in rail infrastructure or high voltage.
These expectations include maintaining a safe, respectful learning environment free of distractions.
Therefore, the use of mobile phones and smart devices is permitted only during breaks. Smart phones and like devices are to be SWITCHED OFF and not accessible during class unless use is authorised for research or legitimate learning.
Performance expectations
Employers have indicated their support for the Smart Device Policy. All learners are expected to accept responsibility for keeping the learning environment free of disruptions, Those in breach of this Policy will receive a caution, with subsequent offences reported to their employer.
