This training includes competencies for persons who install and maintain signalling power supply equipment, to attain the unit of competency is  UEERS0010 Install and maintain rail signal power supplies, part of the UEE41220 Cert IV in Electrical – Rail Signalling

The RS0010 Rail Signalling Power Supplies training module provides participants with the knowledge and skills to:
1. Prepare to install and maintain signalling power supplies
2. Install and maintain signalling power supplies
3. Complete the installation and maintenance signalling power supplies

The RS0010 Rail Signalling Power Supplies training course provides participants with the fundamental principles and knowledge of the types of power sources used in rail signalling systems. It focuses on the types of ac and dc railway supplies, from low voltage, including battery systems, to high voltage supplies, and the awareness and principles involved when dealing with high voltage equipment and the high voltage environment; alternative power supplies such as pneumatics, hydraulics, and solar energy, together with power backup systems of UPS and diesel generator sets.
